Afternoon Class Starting Dates
We also offer afternoon classes which run from Monday to Friday if you have a more open schedule and wish to improve even faster.
This program in particular offers you the possibility to study in the afternoon only, from Monday to Friday, for 10 hours a week.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you offer Mandarin classes during the daytime too?
Yes we do, but not for our part time Chinese classes. For daytime Chinese classes please see our full time Chinese group classes page.
If I miss class, what happens?
Your teacher will communicate with you regarding the materials you missed in your class so you can catch up by yourself outside of school.
If you’ve missed a number of consecutive classes and are falling more significantly behind, you have the option purchase a number of special 1-on-1 catch up classes at a discounted rate of 100 CNY/ hour.
Can I come along for a sample class?
Unfortunately not. Imagine a situation where we have a class of three students, each week a new trial student comes into that class.
The rhythm and flow of a class would be disrupted very easily and it would put the paying students back whilst also making the teachers life more awkward.

How do you place me in the right class?
At our language institute, we assess you before you start your Chinese course with LTL.
This isn’t an exam, but merely a way for us to see what your current level is. By doing this we can discover your exact Chinese ability and where your strengths and weaknesses lie.
With this information we can place you in the perfect class, so you and your fellow classmates can progress naturally together.
How many students per class?
Our classes never exceed six students, and actually the average number of students is under three per class.
Rarely a class will hit six students but when it does everyone will still get a chance to have their say, so you’ll always be progressing and talking Chinese.
Can I also study online with a Taiwanese teacher?
Yes, it is possible!
We offer online programs with both group and individual classes. You can choose to study Simplified or Traditional characters, and even though most of our online teachers come from mainland China, we can easily arrange an online Taiwanese teacher.
